Ted Shelton,  DMin, PhD, CPAC, specializes in marriage and family relationships, addictions and trauma using Biblical-based cognitive behavioral counseling theory to facilitate renewing minds to change behavior and lives.

Ted is a board-examined professional pastoral counselor certified in addictions, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma, and law enforcement chaplaincy. He is an employee assistance provider in addictions and critical-incident trauma counseling with a national crisis care network. He is a teacher and retired PCA minister.

Ted is a member of the American Associations of Christian Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists, National Associations of Forensic Counselors and Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, and International Police Chaplains. Ted and his wife Betty have one married daughter and four grandchildren.

Ted's counseling passions are to help reconcile:

  •  Estranged marriages and families to love-driven, Christ-centered relationships
  •  Stressed and traumatized people to regain peace through healthy mindsets
  •  Addicted and abused people to self-respect and compassionate, loving relationships

Sallie Lowman, M.A., LMFT, has over 25 years of counseling experience, working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings.

Sallie specializes in marriage and relationship issues, past abuse and trauma, parenting, life transitions, stress management, grief, anxiety and anger.

Sallie is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and an experienced classroom teacher and speaker.

She and her husband have two adult children.

Sallie's passion is to help equip individuals and couples to:

  • Walk in more intimate fellowship with their Creator
  • Come to a fuller understanding of their uniqueness and calling
  • Develop relationship skills that will lead them into deeper, more satisfying connections with those they love

Steven Claassen, M.A., is Presidential Scholar with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Spanish from Oral Roberts University.  He went on to graduate with honors from Oral Roberts University School of Theology and Missions with a Masters degree in Christian Counseling. He specializes in combining Biblically based counseling theory with the leading of the Holy Spirit to produce renewed minds and changed lives in individuals and families.

Steven is an ordained independent minister through the National Association of Christian Ministers, giving him clergy privilege, a higher level of confidentiality under Alabama law.

He is an active member of Church of the Highlands, a small group coach, and founder and leader of Builders on the Rock, a men's Bible study focusing on creating a scriptural foundation for becoming an effective disciple of Christ by developing faith, self-control, love, and other virtues.

Steven and his wife, Laura Gail, have been blessed with son, Samuel.

Steven has been influenced by new research on adolescent brain development demonstrating the unique opportunity from a physiological perspective that adolescence provides for intervention. He believes that adolescence is the best time to address trauma and other life wounds before reaching adulthood.

Steven's other counseling passions include:

  • removing personal barriers to walking in one's destiny.

  • gaining insight and awareness of personality and individual giftings and strengths

  • conquering lifestyle addictions through the power of the Word of God

  • bringing God's redemption to marriages and families
